Bio and Research Description: Hannah is a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow and M.S. student in Envrionmental Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where she also received her B.S. in Civil Engineering in May 2016. Hannah's current research focuses on the nexus of engineering, economics, and social science in the context of refugee settlements in Uganda. Through a cost-benefit analysis, her research seeks to navigate the trade-offs of water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) intervention costs and technology effectiveness in order to meet the baseline standards for access to WASH technologies set by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
